It was a wise move to announce the name on the same day US experienced a solar eclipse. It is the second time which involved a commercial partnership as for version 4.4 KitKat, Google paired up with Nestle.

Few users who had earlier installed the beta version of Android O received the Oreo updates automatically in their systems.
