Google Officially Confirms Android O as Android 8.0 Oreo

For the past few months, Google was not completely transparent about their recent launch that is the next version of Android. After being proposed with several unconventional names, it was simply named O. The latest news through a live stream has revealed that Google has finally renamed the Android O as Android 8.0 Oreo.

Significance

For the next chapter of Android, Google came up with the name of Oreo so as to provide a sweet experience to its users as the renown chocolate does with its users as well. It was a wise move to announce the name on the same day US experienced a solar eclipse. It is the second time which involved a commercial partnership as for version 4.4 KitKat, Google paired up with Nestle.

Usage and Availability

Few users who had earlier installed the beta version of Android O received the Oreo updates automatically in their systems. Android 8.0 Oreo will be also available for Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Google Pixel C, Google Pixel XL and many more. Google promises its users that this version of the app will be most powerful and user friendly of all with multiple advantages.

However there is a news stated by Blackberry that Android Oreo will be available for its Key-one but this information is yet to be confirmed by the Google authorities which creates an arena of anticipation throughout the world.
