Jio Phone Bookings Online and Offline-Everything you need to know

Ever since Jio sim cards have been introduced they have taken over the telecommunication market entirely. They have been giving tough competition to other brands such as Vodafone with their “free” internet plans and have an extensive customer base.  Now living off this hype Jio Phones are being released and bookings start 24th August 2017. That’s great news for Jio users! Now as you know, this product is obviously going to be well-, to say the least. So that you don’t miss out on this opportunity, here’s everything you need to know about the phone and the ordering process:

Jio Phone Features

Jio started out as a mobile data plan but now it’s transitioning into a brand unto itself with the first Jio phones dropping in the market tomorrow. It promises all the benefits of its mobile data days along with apps like JioCinema, JioMusic etc as well as all kinds of popular social networking apps. It is a 4G phone with incredible data speed. It has a 2.4-inch screen with 240*320 pixel resolution. There is no front camera.

Jio Phone Price and Delivery

In order to attract 2G users who are yet to join the network, this phone has been touted to cost almost nothing, however, you have to pay a refundable security deposit of Rs.1500. This payment is split into two: Rs.500 while the booking is being made and the remaining Rs.1000 is to be paid when the handset is handed over to you. Since stocks are limited, Jio has adopted a First-come First serve strategy so delivery dates will depend on how early you are availing of this opportunity. Demands are projected to be high so deliveries may be erratic and so timing may be all over the place.

Jio Phone Booking Process

From 24th August both online and offline channels will be opened for pre-orders. It will be available on Jio app, their offline website as well certain licensed Reliance Jio offline retailers.  If you are using the MyJio app, all you have to do is open the app and click on the Pre-order now option that’s been newly added. All you need to provide is your phone number and the pin code of your area of residence and you’re all set to go. Click on Proceed and you will be sent s booking ID on the app as well as by SMS for future reference while receiving the order.

You can also order for a family member or a friend. Simply enter their details in place of yours and enter their delivery address and make the payment. A copy of the Booking ID will be sent to your friend’s phone as well as the address of the retailer. We don’t doubt that your friend will appreciate this kind gesture.

These are some facts regarding the release of the Jio Phone.  Now, though it has only been announced you should hurry if you want to get your hands on one of these. After all, with only 5 million sets to be delivered every week, stocks are limited and liable to vanish in the blink of an eye.
