Quick Look At SWTOR – Classic Star Wars Game

Star Wars: The Old Republic or commonly known as SWTOR is a massively multiplayer game. It is a role-playing game. The theme of the game is the famous series “Star Wars”. The game is developed by BioWare Austin and was published by Electronic Arts (EA). The game was released on December 11, 2011.

The game is being set in the Star Wars universe. The era in which the game takes place is known as the Old Republic. From this, we came to know about the process of naming the game. It is among the most expensive games of all time.

There are eight different classes in the game. Each of the eight classes has a three-act plot that unfolds as the character progresses through the game. Players can join either the Republic or the Sith, although their morality can be anywhere on the light or dark spectrum. Each class supports a different playing style.

Gameplay:

There are two different factions known as the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire. The player is given the choice to achieve any one of them. But, it is mandatory to join one of them. The project’s main goal is to distinguish between a player’s faction and their morality.

Completing missions, exploring, and defeating adversaries all contribute to player advancement. Trainers teach new skills, which are unlocked by level, and can be learnt in-game at a variety of locations. Heroic missions exist that require several players’ collaboration to fulfill objectives and can be performed on a daily.

Players’ decisions affect players’ non-player character (NPC) companions by permanently opening or closing stories. The game is supposed to provide more context for characters’ missions than any other MMORPG before it. To improve the gameplay and dialogue system, every character in the game, including the player character, has full voice dialogue.

Like every other role-playing game, caves and raids are also part of this game. They are present in the form of “Raids” and “Operations”.

System Requirements:

The system requirements for playing this game are not that high. If we look at the processor requirement, the system should have AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4000+ or better. Windows 7 or higher should have been installed in the P.C. RAM should be a minimum of 3GB.

Star Wars: The Old Republic demands a video card with at least 1GB of onboard RAM and Shader 3.0 or greater capability. The processors that can be used are:

  • Intel HD 3000 or better
  • AMD Radeon HD 7450
  • Nvidia GeForce 610

SWTOR Credits:

The primary currency being used in the game is credit. If players have the required number of credits in the game, they can buy any in-game item. But it is not that much easier to acquire credits. The auctions are held where you can buy credits from other players as well. There is one reliable marketplace where you can buy SWTOR Credits for discounted price and skip the hard grinding.
