Temple Run 2 – The Victor With 50 Million Downloads In 13 Days

What took Angry Birds Space long 35 days to achieve; the same milestone was achieved my Temple Run 2 just within 13 days! Few days back, Imangi Studios, the developers of Temple Run announced that, Temple Run 2 was downloaded over 50 million times! 😯 These 50 million downloads were across the 3 platform ie Android, iOS and Kindle.

On 17th January, 2013, Temple Run 2 made its debut on the i-App store, and in no time it became the market leader with over 6 million downloads in a day! Later the Kindle and Android were showered with its millions of downloads. But still the sequel has to do a lot to overcome the records of its predecessor which has crossed over 170 million downloads! 😎

So What’s New In This Sequel?

How far can you run away from the Giant Cursed Idol, and when your way is full of dangerous cliffs and millions of twists? The mobile gaming is been redefined with the debut of Temple Run 2, where you have to save your life by collecting coins and moreover by jumping over the huge gaps and ducking under the low decks! 🙂 The best act that I liked in this sequel is, swinging over the ropes, it looks superb! 😉 But running in the jungle with all these above hurdles, a step wrong can demise you totally! 😛

The crispy graphics of the sequel have been working flawlessly over the high end gadgets. But the tablets and smartphones with low configuration have been facing problems to run over Temple Run 2! 🙁 Temple Run 2 needs high configured smartphones and tablets for its working.

Keith’s Reaction After Temple Run 2

Keith Sheperd, the co-founder of Imangi Studio, seems to be super happy by his development. Following are few of the statements made by Keith:

Temple Run has evolved into something so much bigger than us. The game has performed beyond our wildest dreams, and we are thrilled that gamers and fans have embraced Temple Run 2 in such a short period of time. The response from fans has been overwhelming. We are thrilled players want more of the Temple Run universe, and we hope to grow and expand the game over the coming months.

Imangi Studio

Founded in the year 2008, Imangi studio is a Washington based LLC. The studio was founded by husband and wife – Keith Shepherd and Natalia Luckyanova. The company’s goal was to develop free fun games. The dream of the married couple has now come true and now the couple is working with a team have developed various games! 🙂

Partnership With Disney Pixar

In June, 2012, Keith Shepherd ventured out with Disney Pixar, to develop Temple Run Brave, which is a combination of Temple Run and Disney characters! 😯 In the animated film, the Disney characters are following the actions played in the game Temple Run! 😎 I am sure that you will enjoy viewing the following video, which is of Temple Run Brave:

Here Comes Vitamin M

Finally everything ends with Vitamin M; even Imangi Studio has started thinking in monetary terms! 😎 Looking at its competitor Rovio (Angry Birds Developer), even Imangi Studio has been seen dealing with Temple Run clothes, Temple Run cards, Temple Run board games etc… etc… The 10/10 rated free app, which has splashed water on the paid apps, will also be now minting, inspite of being free! 😉

Are you still reading the post? Go and start your marathon over the Temple Run 2! 😀 Enjoy! 🙂
